Head Coach- Jamie Wilson
Coach Jamie Wilson is entering her 10th year as Head Coach of the Lady Blue Devils. Prior to leading the Lady Blue Devils, she served three years as assistant coach and helped lead the team to a 79-26-1 record, back to back Region 5-AAAA Championships (2012 and 2013), a Region 5-AAAAA Championship (2014) - 2 Elite 8 berths (2012 & 2014) as well as a 5th place finish in the AAAA GHSA State Championship (2012) and 7th place in AAAAA GHSA State Championship (2014). In the 2019 season the Lady Blue Devils finished in the top Sweet Sixteen and in 2020 finished 1st Round State Playoffs. In 2021, the Lady Blue Devils won the Region 2-AAAA Championship and finished in the Sweet 16. During the 2022 season, the team put together a winning 19-11 record and finished Sweet 16 in the Super Regional. During the 2023 season, the team won Region 1-AAA and ending Sweet Sixteen putting up a 19-12 record.
Coach Wilson returned to her alma mater for the 2012-2013 season where she lettered all 4 years in softball and graduated in 1997. During that time, she led her team to back-to-back state playoffs in 1996 and 1997, finishing Elite 8 both years. As a senior, Coach Wilson was named to both the All Bi-City and All State South teams. She started her collegiate career pitching for Gordon College where she was named to the NJCAA All Region team in both 1998 and 1999. After Gordon College, she transferred to the University of West Georgia where she finished out her college career as an outfielder. In 2001, she graduated from UWG with a B.A. in Spanish and a Minor in Marketing. In 2004, Coach Wilson went back to school to receive her teaching certificate in Spanish from Columbus State University and started teaching in 2005. Coach Wilson came to CHS after being Head Coach for Christian Heritage Academy for 2 years and Pitching Coach for Pacelli High School for 3 years. Along with her duties on the field, she teaches Spanish at CHS. Coach Wilson, formerly Jamie Davis, is married to Wes Wilson and has 2 daughters, Ashby and Briley. Playing Honors

JV Head Coach- Steven MeredithCoach Steve Meredith is coming on board for his first season with the Lady Blue Devils. As a previous coach in Alabama, he was the head coach of Beauregard High School softball team for 9 seasons and as an assistant for 1. He also coached football and track. He took a break from coaching to go back to school to get a Masters degree from Columbus State University. This also gave him time to coach his daughter in little league and travel softball. Steve played football in high school and decided, while in college, that he wanted to spend more time on the field. So he majored in secondary math education and received a Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University. He has 30+ years of experience as a math teacher and 12 years of coaching experience (softball, football, track). He is married to Lori. They are a blended family with 4 total children and 3 grandchildren.

Assistant Coach- Mary Catherine SmithCoach Mary Catherine Smith has been an Assistant Coach for the Lady Blue Devils for the past 8 seasons. Coach Smith brings to the team 14 years of playing experience spanning Little League, Travel, High School and College as well as 1 year of coaching experience as Assistant Coach with the 2017 Lady Lions of St. Luke Middle School.
During her playing career for the Lady Blue Devils, Coach Smith help her team win 3 region titles (2012, 2013 & 2014), reach the state playoff all 4 years (2011 – AAA, 2012 & 2013 – AAAA & 2014 – AAAAA), 2 Elite 8 appearances (2012, 2014) with an overall team record of 105-35-3. Over her playing career at Columbus, she set records for most season and career wins and ERA while lettering all 4 years. She also was named named to the All-West Georgia 1st team all 4 years, All-Region team in 2011, 2013, 2014 and All-State team 2013 & 2014. She continued her career with the Young Harris College Lady Mountain Lions, where she help the team reach the D2 Regional Tournament for the 1st time in school history as well as their 1st ever 31 win season. Coach Smith is a graduate of Columbus State University, where she received her Bachelor degree in Political Science. She is also working at a local law firm when not in class or coaching. She is also very involved in the College and Youth ministries at St. Luke Methodist Church. Playing Honors

Assistant Coach- Sarah Marino
Coach Sarah Marino joined the coaching staff for the 2023 season after being a coach at American Little League for the past 4 years. She is a Columbus native graduating from Hardaway High School in 2008. She played softball for 10 years and was on the dance team at Hardaway where they won state in 2008 in Hip Hop and Jazz. She is also a graduate of Purdue University where she earned her bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration. She currently works for Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital. Sarah gains her love of sports from her dad, Coach Marino who has been the head football coach at Columbus High for the past 15 years. She is an active member of St. Anne Catholic Church and loves spending time with her 10 nieces and nephews.

Assistant Coach- Emily DavisCoach Emily Davis has volunteered with the Lady Blue Devils periodically throughout the past couple of years while attending college. She has nine years of playing experience, including her high school career at Columbus High. Emily graduated in 2018 and was named to the All Bi-City 1st team her senior year as well as chosen for the Georgia Dugout Club All Star game. Coach Emily recently graduated from the University of Georgia’s College of Pharmacy and currently works as a pharmacist at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown.
